Well established hospitalist program seeking additional hospitalist. Our physicians work 12 hour shifts, providing double coverage for days and single coverage at night. You can work 7 on/7 off ($175-190K), or work more shifts for additional income.
We're located less than an hour from both Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, and 20 minutes from Smith Lake with over 400 miles of shoreline. Our local community is growing, close-knit and diverse. In addition to 4 season water activities, there are lots of local shopping, dining and other recreational options. There are local private school options, but our public school system is ranked in the top five in the state.
Our ideal candidate would have Hospitalist or substantial inpatient experience, good communication skills and be Board Certified or Eligible.
Our physicians are busy, but benefit from good support staff and structure. We currently provide ICU coverage (10 beds) and short term vent management, but our facitlity is not a tertiary care facility.

LOCUM TENENS

Well established Hospitalist program seeking Hospitalist supplemental physician coverage.
Requires Board Certification or Eligibility, good communication skills and recent inpatient experience
12 hour shifts, Census averages 12-18 per physician daily
Preference for physicians available to work 3 months or longer, 6-8 shifts monthly.
Day and night shifts available.
Duties include low volume ICU and vent management
ER staffed separately 24/7
Competitive compensation, per diem, paid malpractice, lodging and transportation provided
Located 1 hour from Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
