We provide inpatient services for unassigned patients and local primary care physicians. Our scheduling can be block or flexible, but we’re seeking folks who prefer to work 16-18 (12 hour) shifts monthly and provide a full spectrum of primary care services.

Our group consists of Internists and Pulmonologists, and we’re seeking additional Internists.

Our community is located 90 minutes from downtown Atlanta and Augusta, less than 30 minutes from Macon. We’re in a beautiful historical area, within 20 minutes of 2 large lakes and within 30 minutes of multiple nationally ranked golf and country club developments. Local shopping and dining options provide a wide variety. Families will appreciate the local public and private school options, as well as the four season recreation and sports opportunities. Low local crime rates and our status as the hub of a 5 county population center are helping fuel our growth.

Our compensation package is very competitive and provides full benefits as well as incentives ($200k + potential). Our group is contracted directly with the hospital and is the only Hospitalist program in the community.

We need help during the transition from out-sourced to in-house Hospitalist programs.  (We're also looking for 2 more good Hospitalists!)
Flexible scheduling is available, but we do require block availability of 4 or more consecutive days (or nights).
Staffing is 2 physicians for day shifts, and a single physician at night, providing inpatient care for a census of 20-40 patients, total.  The average length of stay is 3.5 days.
Our 100 bed hospital does have an ICU with less than 10 beds, and good specialty backup is available.
Day shifts are 7AM-5PM or 9AM-7PM, with the night shifts running 7PM-7AM.                              
The ER is staffed separately 24/7.
