Multi-specialty group in scenic western North Carolina seeking Hospitalists.
Our schedule is a 35 day rotation with each physician working a total of 19 shifts - 12 day and 7 night. Our physicians love this schedule because they work 7 in a row only for their week of nights, they have 3 days off almost every week and they only work 2 weekends every 5 weeks.
We offer a competitive salary and full benefits initially, with a 2 year partnership track.
Duties include admissions, consults, discharges, inpatient rounds, ICU and stress tests.
The program is responsible for 15-35 patients daily, with an average of 20-25.
Our great foothills location is surrounded by tourist and second home developments.
Convenient recreational options include a lake, hiking, camping, golf, tennis, equestrian and cycling. Excellent snow skiing is less than 2 hours away. Local shopping and dining provides mulitple options.
Our community of 8,000 is located in a county of more than 60,000, located 1.5 hours(or less) from Charlotte, Asheville and Spartanburg. Atlanta is less than 3 hours away. Our hospital service population is @ 70,000.
Our Hospitalists provide a high level of primary care inpatient services, but are not expected to care for trauma or unstable, high-acuity patients. We're not a tertiary care center, but we do strive to provide excellent patient care and provide most of the services or community needs.

Permanent recruitment has created a need for full-time Hospitalist locum tenens coverage.
Flexible scheduling available, blocks of 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days or nights.
Hospitalist physicians are part of a multi-specialty group. Duties include admissins, consults, discharges, inpatient rounds and low volume ICU.
Our scheduling provides for multiple physicians to be present daily, and is flexible for seasonal census variations. Each physician typically carries 10 - 20 patients daily, averaging 12-16. We allow 20 minutes for rounds,m 30 minutes for discharges and 1 hour for admits.
