110 bed hospital with 13 local FP/IM physicians seeking (4) Hospitalists for new program.  Our needs are currently covered by locum tenens physicians while we're recruiting permanent candidates.
Our Hospitalists will initially provide inpatient care for unassigned patients (usually from PCP's in surrounding communities or two local PCP's who have retired from inpatient duties) as well as consults as needed, primarily for local Orthopedists.
Largest hospital within 6 county area, 2nd largest outside Memphis in west Tennessee.
Hospital enjoys excellent reputation in local and surrounding communities
Service population of 75,000, 18,000 annual ER visits (ER staffed 24/7 separately)
Our community is best for our proximity to Kentucky Lake and it's many recreational activities, but we also have excellent city and county school systems and a variety of local shopping and dining options.  For additional dining and entertainment options, Jackson is an easy commute of less than an hour.  Memphis and Nashville are within 2 hours and offer pro sports, live music and a full range of cultural options.  Family oriented outdoor activities are plentiful - sports, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, picnics, horses, golf and tennis are all within minutes.  Housing is affordable and varied.

LOCUM TENENS

Seeking Hospitalists for locum tenens coverage while implementing new Hospitalist program.
Physicians will admit and provide inpatient services for primary care patients from surrounding communities and some local unassigned, as well as consults, primarily for local Orthopedists.
Seeking coverage  with a 2 month minimum commitment.
Work 7 on/7 off or Monday - Friday every other week.
Expected volume: 12-25 admissions weekly, daily census of 18 - 30 patients total, covered by 2 physicians during the day, with single coverage at night.
Competitive compensation + paid malpractice + per diems + lodging + mileage reimbursement or airfare.  
Location: 30 minutes from Kentucky Lake, within 1 hour of Jackson and Clarkesville, 2 hours of Memphis and Nashville.
