Hospitalist program seeking additional physician.
Our 100 bed hospital serves a population of @35,000, providing excellent patient care with a focus on primary care and outpatient procedures.  Our nurses and support staff are clinically sound and appreciated by the community.  Our ER handles 15,000 visits annually and is separately staffed 24/7.
We are providing inpatient services for a total of 8 primary care physicians from 4 practices.   Based on our last 12 months, we expect 700-750 annual admissions, including unassigned.  Our current schedule is 7 on/7 off, but we expect to grow to 3-4 physicians within 12-18 months.  Physicians currently cover nights from home, but after hour hospital visits are rare.
We're offering a competitive compensation package with 1st year potential of $200K, full employee benefits, vacation and CME allowance.  Our ideal candidate would have good clinical skills, recent inpatient Hospitalist or inpatient experience, demonstrate good communictaion skills and be Board Certified or Board Eligible with recent training.  We do not qualify as a  J1 sponsor.
Our community can provide local shopping, dining and recreation options.  Families will appreciate the public and private education options.  We are located within an hour of Blacksburg and Roanoke.  An easy commute of 2.5 hours (or less) will reach Knoxville,  Asheville, Raleigh-Durham or Charlotte, as well as SEC, ACC and professional sports.  There are two popular snow ski destinations within 90 minutes, as well as hiking and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

100 bed facility, 15K ER visits, 24/7 staffed ER
Requires Board Certification or Eligibility, good communication skills and recent inpatient experience.
