170 bed hospital seeking additional locums Hospitalist coverage while transitioning their Hospitalist group from their previous management vendor

  • Average census for the program is 36, ranges from low 20's to low 50's
  • Day shifts are covered by 3 Hospitalists
  • Admits range from 8-20, averaging 12, with nights getting about 50%
  • ICU and short term vent management are required
  • Central lines and other procedures are optional
  • Specialty backup is adequate for the hospital services provided
  • Unstable, high acuity patients are usually shipped to a larger facility

>100 bed hospital providing coverage for 7 county service area seeking a Nocturnist for growth of program due to turnover of inpatient services from large local PCP group. Program began October, 2009, and is currently staffed at 8 FTE Hospitalists. Additional hospitalist and Nocturnist are sought to eliminate use of locums staffing after recent expansion of group.

  • Work schedule is 7 on/7 off, 7PM-7AM
  • Average census is 30-45 currently for the program
  • Admit average for 24 hours <14
  • ICU and short term vent management is required
  • Other procedures are preferred, but optional
  • Specialty backup is exceptional for a facility our size, 24/7

>350 Bed Hospital in Southeast North Carolina is looking for a Chief Hospitalist.

  • Workload would be 50 % Clinical/50% Administrative
  • Chief will rotate thru all shifts (day/swing/night), schedule is definitely flexible
  • Purpose of rotating through all shifts annually is to observe and interact with all hospitalists and support staff over time
  • Anticipated schedule would be 4-5 days weekly, with very little weekend responsibilities
