<100 Bed Not-For-Profit Hospital in North Central North Carolina is looking to add 2 Hospitalists to their well-established and growing staff. Our hospital has grown substantially with new facilities and services over the last few years, and our Hospitalist program is a key component to our mission plan.
While the census ranges from 25-55, the average is <35, covered by 2 day shift Hospitalists, and a separate night shift. ICU and short term vent management are required, all other procedures are optional. The Hospitalists work 12 hour shifts, on a 7 on/7 off schedule. In a rotation of 6 calendar weeks, each Hospitalist would work 2 weeks of days and 1 week of nights.
Board Certified or Eligible Internists preferred, but FP candidates with excellent inpatient references will be considered. Sorry, but we do not qualify for H1 cap exemption or J1 waiver sponsorship.
Located within 1 hr. & 15 minutes of Charlotte, Hickory, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, our community is the retail, healthcare and service center for a population >125K and multiple smaller communities. With an adequate roster of specialists and multiple primary care options in the area, our goal is to provide great service for local folks who need medical care within our expanded capabilities. When the acuity of patients exceeds our service capabilities, we have great relationships with multiple tertiary care centers.
Our local community provides great public school options, a local Country Club, organized sports activities for kids of all ages, dance and gymnastics programs. Our local Recreation Department provides healthy activities like hiking, walking, tennis, swimming, a gym and climbing wall. With our proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, scenic excursions are just minutes away. Our moderate 4 season climate allows great outdoor recreation options year-round.
